RTR 2025: 8th RTR Trip To India Opens Applications

We are happy to announce that the 8th edition of the Return To Roots Trip to India will be held in March 2025. The tentative dates are March 8th to March 22nd +/- 2 days.

For planning purposes we request you to allow a day or two before and after to arrive in India in time and depart at the end of the program.

Every participant has to attend the entire program. There are no exemptions to this requirement. Please review the costs etc in the Financial sub-section below.

For prospective participants from India, the cost will be lower because of no airfare costs. If you are from India and are considering participating, please reach out to us (using the Contact Us page) before you apply.

Funding

We strive to make it possible for everyone to go for RTR regardless of financial circumstance. We have limited financial resources for supporting candidates — and we encourage all our candidates to approach local associations to garner more support — but we would like to know whether you or your family will be able to support your trip.

Depending on where participants are coming from, we anticipate the average cost for the RTR 2023 trip will be approximately US$ 6,500, including flights, for those coming from North America or Australasia. Airfares will be lower for those coming from countries closer to India.

We request participants to help us by partially funding this trip for themselves in the ballpark range of US$ 4,750 for those from North America, and proportionately lesser from other regions closer to India.
