The Trips

Since the very first trip in 2013, our trips to India focus on exposing the participants to learning, understanding and connecting with Zoroastrianism and its rituals in India and Parsi material culture (food, art, music). Participants from the Zoroastrian diaspora had the opportunity to explore their culture, community, and potential opportunities in Zoroastrian India. Participants met local Zoroastrians at the forefront of business, science, government, philanthropy, arts and music.

On all trips we also visit consecrated Agiaries and Atash Behrams. In accordance with the rules and customs of these religious sites, participants must satisfy the criteria of entry of these religious sites for this trip.

On some trips we have also visited Zoroastrian religious institutions that are open to all. This allows participants who have at least one Zoroastrian parent and have had their Navjote (sudreh-pushi) ceremonies to visit some of these religious institutions.

Where in India will we go?

Over the past many trips we have visited Mumbai, Sanjan, Nargol, Udvada, Navsari, Surat, Bharuch, Baroda, Lonavala, Pune and New Delhi. Each trip is different and unique and we make sure to cover important events and occasions that are taking place during our time in India.

What can one expect on the trips

Each trip is unique and will provide a lifetime of memories, and a deeper understanding of the faith as is practised in India.

India by itself is a huge melting pot of cultures and sensory experiences.
